There is rarely a single treatment that is right for everyone. Your assessment helps us understand the factors contributing to your symptoms and decide which approaches are most appropriate for you.
Treatment may include specialist physiotherapy, exercise and movement rehabilitation, facial rehabilitation, acupuncture or medical botulinum toxin, depending on your individual presentation.

Choosing the Right Treatment
The treatment you receive will depend on your individual symptoms, diagnosis, assessment findings and goals.
For some people, physiotherapy and exercise may be all that is required. Others may benefit from a combination of approaches.
For example, someone with facial synkinesis may benefit from facial movement retraining alongside medical botulinum toxin, while someone with jaw pain may benefit from education, exercises and manual therapy.
Your treatment plan will be discussed with you following your assessment, so that you understand the options available and why they may be appropriate for you.
