Midlands Jaw Physiotherapy is a leading physiotherapy clinic that specialises in treating temporomandular joint disorders (TMD), facial palsy, and the utilisation of Botulinum Toxin (BoTox) for management of facial palsy and hemifacial spasm. Harriette is an experianced physiotherapist, dedicated to providing personalised care and treatment plans to help patients achieve optimal jaw and facial function. With a focus on patient education and empowerment, we strive to help patients achieve long-term relief from pain and discomfort.
Harriette Haig (BSc, MCSP, HCPC)
Harriette is a highly skilled physiotherapist who has been making a significant impact in her field since graduating from the University of Birmingham in 2012. With extensive experience in both the NHS and private sector, she has become a specialist in the management of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD) and facial palsy. Her passion for these areas has driven her to become an advanced practitioner in botulinum toxin administration for facial palsy since 2021, enabling her to provide exceptional care to her patients throughout their facial palsy journey.
Harriette currently sits on the committee of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Temporomandibular Disorders (ACPTMD) which allows her to collaborate with leading professions in this field of physiotherapy practice. Her attendance on an advanced practice TMD course in 2024 has enabled Harriette to further develop her skills in managing the complexities of temporomandibular disorders.
In 2024, Harriette co-wrote an article on the management of idiopathic and post-surgical temporomandibular disorders, which was published in the highly respected British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Journal.
